Test-Thermocouples

Fits into all thermo-control Thermocouples

With our test thermocouples (also called SAT thermocouples) you can check our protective gas / vacuum thermocouples for any deviations at any time during the process.

Like all thermo-control thermocouples, they are characterized by the following properties:

  • 2.5 mm thin insulating rods made of high-density 99.7% Al2O3
  • with handle and matching compensation cable 2.5 m
  • As standard, the cable is assembled with bare ends.
  • Standard delivery lengths from 400 mm to 1600 mm
  • with calibration certificate, traceable to a national standard or according to AMS 2750
  • PtRh-Pt versions 4 year warranty against drift and thermowire defects
  • Recommended interval for re-calibration 10 years
  • Transport tube 30 mm made of Plexiglas for safe storage of the test thermocouple
  • Individual process connection according to specification available on request
  • Optionally with calibration certificate according to AMS 2750
  • Optionally with DAkkS calibration certificate
  • Optionally pre-assembled, with cables and plug connections
  • Individual process connection according to specification on request possible

General

Your test thermocouple is actually the additional common thermocouple for any number of thermo-control thermocouples. Its protective tube is empty and preheated in each thermocouple in the oven.

Important instructions for use

Caution

Even if you slowly pull the test thermocouple out, it is still very hot, although you cannot see it. There is an acute risk of burns! If the test thermocouple is still connected to the display device, a maximum of 50°C – 60°C should be displayed before the test thermocouple is completely pulled out of the protective tube.

Note

The faster you insert the test thermocouple, the longer you have to wait for stabilization. There is no time to gain by hurrying. If you do it too quickly, the thermocouple will break.
