Introduction of the ZUGFeRD standard
From 2025, invoices should be exchanged in a standardized format in the B2B segment
We are pleased to announce that thermo-control Körtvélyessy GmbH has successfully introduced the ZUGFeRD standard (Zentraler User Guide des Forums elektronische Rechnung Deutschland). This decision optimizes our invoice dispatch and receipt while promoting digital transformation.
ZUGFeRD enables structured invoice data and the PDF document to be combined in a single file, improving both efficiency in invoice processing and compliance with legal requirements. For our business partners, this means faster, more secure, and standardized processing.
A ZUGFeRD invoice comprises the visual representation of the invoice for humans and machine-readable structured data. The visual invoice representation is in PDF/A-3 format. The machine-readable data in XML format is attached to the PDF/A-3 as an attachment. Thus, the PDF serves as a container for both the visual representation and the XML data.
With the ZUGFeRD profile "XRechnung", electronic invoices can be created that comply with the XRechnung standard and are accepted by public clients.
